Conduit appoints new chief underwriting officer
Conduit Holdings, the parent company of Bermudian-based reinsurer, Conduit Re, has appointed Stephen Postlewhite as chief underwriting officer, effective January 26.
Mr Postlewhite brings nearly 30 years of experience in the global reinsurance and insurance industry, with a background spanning underwriting, risk management and actuarial leadership.
In his new role, he will oversee Conduit’s underwriting strategy and portfolio performance across its property, casualty and speciality lines, as well as the company’s outward reinsurance strategy.
He joins from McGill and Partners, where he was partner and head of capital solutions, and previously served as global CUO and managing director at QBE Re. Earlier in his career, he spent more than 15 years at Aspen, rising to chief executive of both the reinsurance and insurance divisions, group chief risk officer and group chief actuary.
Neil Eckert, Conduit CEO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen to Conduit. His deep technical expertise and proven leadership in strategic underwriting across global markets will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our underwriting capabilities.”
Mr Postlewhite said he was “thrilled” to take on the role, adding: “This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented underwriting team and build on the strong foundation they have established.”
His appointment remains subject to Bermuda immigration approval.
