Lockton Re adds senior hires to capital advisory team
Lockton Re has made two senior appointments aimed at further enhancing its capital advisory capabilities.
Darsh Patel has joined as global head of transaction structuring and reserving analytics, while Jack McGregor has been appointed head of retrospective reinsurance and legacy solutions for North America. Mr Patel will be based in London and Mr McGregor in Chicago, where he will also support the expansion of Lockton Re’s casualty segment across the region.
James Dickerson, head of retrospective reinsurance and legacy solutions at Lockton Re, said: “We are delighted to bring individuals of such strong calibre into our team. Both Darsh and Jack are recognised market leaders in their respective fields, with over 50 years of industry experience between them. Their complementary skills materially enhance our global claims and reserving analytics function as well as our specialist executive broking capability.”
Mr Patel joins from Aon, where he served as a legacy actuary within its capital advisory team. His career spans more than two decades across roles at Riverstone International, BDO, Tradewise Insurance Services and James, Brennan & Associates.
Mr McGregor was previously chief property and casualty reinsurance officer at Fortitude Re. He has also held senior positions at AIG, including chief executive of its Eaglestone Re subsidiary, and began his career as a trial litigator and later counsel to Kemper Insurance Companies.
Eric Paire, head of capital advisory at Lockton Re, added: “Darsh and Jack are two key additions to the retrospective and legacy team led by James. They enhance our capabilities in the United States, the London market and Europe at a point in the insurance cycle where retrospective solutions are extremely useful tools for our clients to manage capital and profit and loss.”
