Waterloo Investment reports $35.8m half-year results

Waterloo Investment Holdings has reported net income of $35.8m for the six months ended September 30, compared to $39.9 million for the same period last year, according to a filing on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

The BSX-registered firm also saw net income per ordinary share for the year of $0.06, unchanged from last year. Total assets remained steady at nearly $2.3 billion.

Net assets were nearly $1.2 billion, up from $1.1 billion during the previous period ending March 31.

Waterloo is headquartered in British Virgin Islands, an international company with significant investments in the Caribbean and Latin America. Its operating businesses are mainly concentrated in the finance and hospitality sectors of Belize and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Waterloo's principal banking subsidiaries comprise of The Belize Bank Limited and Belize Bank International Limited in Belize and British Caribbean Bank Limited in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
