Nine new insurance registrations were confirmed last month, according to information released by the Bermuda Monetary Authority today.

There were also eight insurance applications reviewed in January in the monthly insurance assessment and licensing committee application review.

They included five new applications and three that had been carried forward. All eight applications were approved by the IALC. The registration of approved insurance entities occurs after the IALC application process has concluded.

Out of the nine new registrations, there was one Class A, three Class E, one Class 4 and two collateralised insurers and two Restricted Special Purpose Insurers.

Home Re 2026-1 Ltd and Sanders Re IV Ltd are Restricted Special Purpose Insurers.
