Walkers has appointed a partner to lead its employment practice in Bermuda.

The law firm said the arrival of Nick Vernon marks a notable expansion of their offering at a time when demand for specialist employment advice is growing.

Mr Vernon brings more than 17 years of experience advising on the full spectrum of employment issues.

Kevin Taylor, Bermuda office managing partner said Mr Vernon has longstanding expertise in both contentious and noncontentious matters and brings the insight needed to advance the firm’s employment practice in Bermuda.

“'I am thrilled to join Walkers at such an exciting time for the firm,” Mr Vernon said. “Bermuda’s employment landscape continues to evolve and organisations are seeking clear and commercially focused guidance more than ever. I look forward to supporting clients in navigating their workplace challenges and contributing to Walkers’ continued success in the jurisdiction.”

Previously, Mr Vernon was a partner and head of employment at Shoosmiths in Birmingham, England, where he was consistently recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners UK.
