Fidelis promotes Kapu-Leyland to group general counsel
Fidelis Insurance Group has appointed Nicole Kapu-Leyland as group general counsel.
The Bermudian-based speciality insurer and reinsurer said Ms Kapu-Leyland will report to Dan Burrows, group chief executive.
Mr Burrows said the promotion reflected her contribution since joining the company in 2023.

Ms Kapu-Leyland joined Fidelis in 2023 and has served in several senior legal roles, including interim group head of legal, deputy general counsel and senior legal counsel.
Before joining Fidelis, she worked as an associate in the corporate and financial services team at Willkie Farr & Gallagher (United Kingdom) LLP. Earlier, she was an associate in the financial institutions group at Clifford Chance LLP and completed client secondments with Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank.
Ms Kapu-Leyland holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and literature from Harvard College and studied at St Catherine’s College, Oxford, as a visiting student. She is licensed to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales.
