SiriusPoint announces board changes
Specialty underwriter SiriusPoint has appointed Sabra Purtill to its board of directors while Franklin (Tad) Montross IV and Peter Tan have stepped down.
Ms Purtill joined SiriusPoint with 40 years of experience across insurance and financial services. Her background spans corporate finance, capital markets, treasury and financial reporting.
She has held senior roles at AIG, Hartford Financial Services Group and Assured Guaranty. She previously worked at Ace, now Chubb.
“SiriusPoint is at an important stage in its evolution, with a clear focus on discipline, resilience and long‑term value,” Ms Purtill said. “I’m looking forward to working with the board and management team to help guide the business through its next phase.”
Board chairman Bronek Masojada said Ms Purtill brought significant financial and insurance experience to the board, shaped by four decades at leading financial institutions.
“Her perspective will support the board’s oversight, governance and long‑term strategic direction on behalf of our shareholders,” Mr Masojada said. “I would also like to thank Tad and Peter for the important contributions they have made over the last five years.”
Mr Montross IV joined the SiriusPoint Board in 2021 and served as chairman of the risk and capital management committee and as a member of the audit and compensation committees. Mr Tan also joined the board in 2021 and served as a member of the investment committee and the risk and capital management committee.
Their service on the board and its committees concluded immediately following the firm’s 2026 annual general meeting on May 20.
