More than 650 people are expected to attend the 2026 Bermuda International Life and Annuity Conference this month.

The two-day event, on September 28 and 29 at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, is organised by Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers.

This year’s conference will bring together executives, regulators, policymakers, and industry leaders from the global long-term re/insurance sector.

Speakers include David Petraeus, retired US Army general and a former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and Scott White, president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, the US standard-setting body.

The programme will also explore geopolitical and demographic trends affecting retirement systems and capital flows, Bermuda’s growing role in Asian markets, and the factors that will shape the jurisdiction’s ability to attract and retain global insurance business.
