Georgina Howes joins Sun Life Private Wealth Bermuda
Georgina Howes has joined Sun Life Private Wealth Bermuda as chief executive officer and country manager, the company has announced.
Sun Life said the change was one of three senior appointments that strengthens the Sun Life Private Wealth team.
In addition, Liem Phan is appointed chief product officer, based in Singapore and Alvin Soh is named CEO, Sun Life Private Wealth Singapore.
Sun Life Private Wealth was launched this summer, an integrated platform supporting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and advisers as they build, preserve and transfer wealth across generations, the company said in July.
Sujoy Ghosh, CEO, Sun Life Private Wealth said today: “These appointments mark an important step in building the leadership team for Sun Life Private Wealth.
“Liem, Georgina and Alvin bring strong market experience, technical depth and proven leadership as we continue to serve the increasingly complex needs of high net worth families across global wealth hubs.”
The company said Ms Howes will drive sustainable performance of the Bermuda business and strengthen Bermuda’s role as a key wealth hub within Sun Life Private Wealth’s integrated platform.
She brings more than 25 years of insurance experience, with deep expertise in life and health underwriting, operations, and high net worth insurance across multiple jurisdictions and complex organisations.
Prior to joining Sun Life, she was head of Bermuda at Transamerica Life (Bermuda) Ltd, where she established and scaled its high net worth operations, supporting sustainable underwriting growth and operational excellence.
The company said: “Liem will shape the product strategy for Sun Life Private Wealth, from product design, pricing, life cycle management to product governance and innovation.”
In addition: “Alvin will lead the Singapore business, with responsibility for its growth, performance and long-term development.”
Sun Life Private Wealth has operational presence in key wealth hubs including Bermuda, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore. The international financial services organisation provides asset management, wealth, insurance and health solutions to individual and institutional clients.
Sun Life has operations in a number of markets and had total assets under management of $1.7 trillion as of June 30.
