<Bz25>Cornerstone to hold Bible seminar
Pastor Gary Simons, senior pastor of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship and Regional Director for World Teach for the Caribbean and Latin America, will be teaching a very special seminar in the next few weeks.
“Solving The People Puzzle,” is a Walk Thru The Bible seminar that will be held at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Saturday, May 19, the second time it will be presented in Bermuda. Pastor Simons has also taught the seminar in Zambia, Croatia, Bangkok and at the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church in Brooklyn, New York.
The focus of the all-day seminar is to help people recognise the reasons they struggle in their relationships, whether with co-workers, at church, or in their families. According to Pastor Simons, those in and out of the church will find it beneficial.
“It’s useful for everybody, even if they are in the corporate world. It is for anyone who has to relate to others,” Pastor Simons shared. “In every single arena we’ve taught it, it’s helped people in their marriage relationships and other relationships.”
“I think it’s one of the best relationship seminars available. It’s benefited me.”
According to the brochure, the seminar will be divided into three different sessions, including Understanding Yourself, Valuing Yourself and Others, and Developing Your Versatility. It also promises to help people understand why people act the way they do and will help people learn to minimise tensions and relate to difficult people.
The seminar runs from 8:30am to 4pm, and includes breakfast and lunch, a personal workbook, practical instruction and special music by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir soloist, Karen Melendez.
The event costs $70 and tickets are available from both the Christian Book Store and Cornerstone Bible Fellowship. For more information, call 295-9640 or email kcam[AT]cornerstone.bm.
