Church holds family service
*The Spiritual Interest Committee of Emmanuel Methodist Church in Southampton is extending an open invitation to everyone, including “aunts, uncles, cousins, and especially children” to attend morning worship at 11 a.m. tomorrow when a special family service will commemorate Father’s Day.
A male member of the congregation, who is also a father, will preach the sermon on the importance of fatherhood, some of the children whose parents and grandparents are members will play a variety of musical instruments, the special men’s choir will sing ‘Amazing Grace’ accompanied by a bagpiper, a mother will tell a story, and children of all ages will ‘make a joyful noise’ with instruments during the children’s hymn.
Following the service, fellowship and delicious home-made refreshments will be enjoyed in the Dawson Gibson Room below the sanctuary. For further information

* July 8 has been designated as>Sea Sunday, <$>when major Christian denominations around the world hold services and prayers for seafarers, whose jobs take them away from their families and homes, and in the course of which they can suffer danger, loneliness and the stress of being at sea.
A special Sea Sunday service will be held at the Bermuda Sailors’ Home (Mariners’ Club) at 12.30 p.m., and all are welcome.
