Middle East expert returns to Bermuda

The Evangelical Church of Bermuda announced this week the return of Dr. Jimmy DeYoung as guest speaker for its 2006 Annual Missions conference.

Dr. DeYoung is no stranger to Bermuda. He visited the Island in 1999 when Evangelical hosted a special prophecy conference. He said: ?We look forward with great anticipation and excitement to our return to minister with the great people at Evangelical Church of Bermuda. We have such fond memories of our ministry together several years ago.?

During the conference, which begins on Sunday, March 4, Dr. DeYoung will focus on current events in the Middle East, looking at them in light of Bible prophecy. Topics include:

Iran?s threat to the Jewish state of Israel

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict with the Hamas factor

Rebuilding the state of Iraq and it?s prophetic significance

The potential for a second Jewish state in the Middle East

The most significant sign of the soon coming of Jesus Christ

Dr. DeYoung is a dynamic speaker, prophecy teacher and journalist who travels the world preaching and speaking at special events. He also broadcasts the Prophecy Today radio programme and the Prophecy Today website which feature headline news from the Middle East from a Christian perspective.

His goal is to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God?s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today.

Dr. DeYoung resided in Jerusalem for 12 years where he held full credentials as a journalist in the second most populated journalistic city in the world. Arriving there just three days prior to the Gulf Crisis in 1991, he weathered 39 Scud missile attacks. Dr. DeYoung gave reports on several networks during the Gulf Crisis. He has his finger on the pulse of what is considered the media ?hot spot? of our time, the Middle East. On his travels throughout the US and around the world, Dr. DeYoung brings with him the latest news from out of the Middle East with a unique blend of political, Biblical and prophetic insight that cannot be found in the media today.
