On offer from Christian Night school
Whether you are looking to refresh your Christian knowledge or broaden your thinking of the Christian faith, The Christian Night School is offering a class for you.
Since September 11, the Cathedral has been offering study sessions open to any member of the public.
"The Alpha course has been offered at the Church for some time, but some members said they wanted more," said Rev. Canon Keith Wassall.
According to Rev. Wassall, it is primarily a video course which revisits topics such as the purpose of prayer, God and the church and examining why Jesus died.
So, it was decided that an Emmarus course would be offered as well.
"It's a new type of course helping people to grow and develop in their faith... it's going to stretch their thoughts and ideas," he said.
While the two classes will run for 15 weeks, the Healing course, which begins on October 23, will only be held for five weeks.
"During the course, there will be an opportunity for people to receive the ministry of healing," said Rev. Wassall.
While he said approximately 50 people had signed up for the first two courses, Rev. Wassall said many spaces were open in the healing sessions.
Before each class, a supper will be served in the Cathedral Hall at 6.30 p.m.. While there is no charge for the classes, it is requested that a donation be made for the meal.
