It is with great sadness that we announce the death of The Rev. David Terence Phillips Abernerthy who died on April 4 aged 63 after a long illness so bravely borne. Prior to his being appointed Rector of Beaulieu in Hampshire, England he was Curate in Pembroke Parish (1972-1979) and Rector of St. Mark?s, Smith?s Parish, Bermuda (1979-1984).

He leaves to mourn his dearly loved wife Sue and devoted sons Mathew and Howard and sister Margaret along with many friends in the UK and Bermuda.

A Requiem Mass was be held in Beaulieu Abbey on April 12 followed by burial in Exbury.

Also on Wednesday at St. John?s Church in Pembroke, Terry was remembered in the service of Holy Communion. ? Contributed by William Duncan
