<Bz28>Jamaican Association holds prayer breakfast
The first event on the agenda is set to take place at the Bermuda College Cafeteria, on Saturday morning.
Jamaican Association (Bermuda) (JAB) event chairperson Marlene Flynn-Simons said: “Attaining 45 years of independence is something to be proud of and thus we will be celebrating all year.
“Will be hosting a Prayer Breakfast and the preacher will be Pastor Lloyd Duncan of Greater Smith’s Hill New Testament Church of God.
“Although the emphasis will be on Jamaica, we are also mindful about our second home, Bermuda,” she explained.
“We recognise that even by virtue of living here we need to also remember Bermuda in Prayer.
In so doing, we have invited Pastor Blanche Burchall of Glory Temple, Southside, St. David’s to intercede on behalf of Bermuda, while Pastor Ranville Thomas of Revival Assembly will intercede on behalf of Jamaica.”
The Prayer Breakfast is open to everyone including members of Government and the Opposition.
Tickets $30 can be purchased at In-Between Boutique and Jamaican Grill, or by contacting Ms Flynn-Simons at 504-1045 or 236-6792.
