Fellowship holds health seminars
Restoration Fellowship is hosting a health conference this weekend, featuring author and TV personality, Dr. Valerie Saxion, ND, and health and wellness speaker, Gene Bailey.
The three-day conference, according to Mr. Bailey, “is a total health seminar. We’ll be talking about physical health, emotional health and spiritual health”.
“They’re all interconnected,” Dr. Saxion explained. Even emotional struggles can lead to physical problems. “If you don’t get it out, that will make you physically sick.”
Quoting from Hebrews 12:1, which says, “Let us lay aside every weight,” Mr. Bailey explained that that weight in our life could be physical weight, it could be bad eating habits, it could be emotions.
“We really want to help people break into what they should be doing in their life,” Dr. Saxion added.
The pair have been working together for several years sharing the same message, and in an interview last week were excited about coming to Bermuda.
“We know that the same theories, the same standards and principals will work there,” Mr. Bailey said.
As far as what each person will bring home from the conference depends on the individual, according to Dr. Saxion. At previous conferences, for example, she has seen a great response to Gene’s session on rejection, where many finally get to a point where they can break free from the rejection they have experienced in their lives.
“It’s so freeing to get it out,” she said. “Especially as Christians, we tend to sweep it under the rug in our hearts, but it is still there. It’s going to reveal itself somewhere in our life— Where there is fruit, there’s a root, so the goal of the conference is to get to the root of their problems.”
For Mr. Bailey, it’s all about freedom — emotional freedom, physical freedom and spiritual freedom.
“We hope that it is not just a religious crowd,” he shared, as he firmly believes that they have a message for everyone, whether Christian or not.
“You can be free— All of us have an inner calling and we can’t do that if we are encumbered.”
What are they most looking forward to about the conference?
For Dr. Saxion, it’s simply the opportunity to travel and step on foreign soil.
“I know that people’s lives are going to be changed,” she said. “When we speak the truth and we speak it in love, we know people will receive it and lives will be changed.”
“We know there will be healing,” Mr. Bailey added. “You can make a difference and there is divine help for that.”
Dr. Saxion is a naturopathic doctor, mother of eight and grandmother of two. She is the founder of Silver Creek Labs, which specializes in naturopathic and homeopathic remedies, and is the author of numerous books, including her most recent, “Excuses Today, Health Problems Tomorrow.” She is also the host of Alternative Health, which appears on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.
Gene Bailey is a writer and lecturer, and was formerly the COO of Benny Hinn Ministries. The pair have worked together extensively in television and through conferences across the US.
