Couples get chance to renew their vows
have the opportunity to do so this week.
Radnor Road Christian Fellowship will hold a black tie Married Couples Banquet and The Renewing of Wedding Vows Ceremony next Friday to remind couples what it was that first brought them together.
Pastor Neville Smith told The Royal Gazette that the event stemmed from his interest in marriage and couples.
"I've always had an interest in marriage and couples and have had contact with many couples over the years,'' he said.
Pastor Smith said there also seemed to be a need for fellowship among couples and thought the evening would be an excellent opportunity for it.
"Couples can come together for fellowship and a little pampering,'' he said.
"It (the evening) will encourage couples to remember what it was that brought them together in the first place. I think it will help rekindle things.'' And he said he hoped that all that attend the Sonesta Beach event would renew their vows.
"I don't know exactly how many will do it,'' he said. "I imagine a number of couples will because of the interest that has been shown.'' Pastor Smith was also basing his prediction of past marriage seminars held at the church.
"The church has held seminars before and we ran out of space,'' he said. "We had about 110 couples which is over 200 people.'' The formal dinner gets under way at 7.30 p.m. at the Sonesta Beach Hotel on Friday. For more information call the Church office at 293-4041 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
