Bermudian becomes Bishop at US church

Elder Dennis W. Ball was consecrated as a Bishop last Sunday at the House of Prayer church in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he serves as pastor.

Elder Dennis W. Ball was consecrated as a Bishop last Sunday at the House of Prayer church in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he serves as pastor.

Elder Ball is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Calvin Ball, and is the eldest of seven children. He was educated at the Band Room Lane School on St. Monica's Road, Prospect Primary, and at Howard Academy.

He received a Bachelor of Arts in history at the University of Chicago, and a Masters of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.

Many Bermudians will remember Elder Ball as a soccer player for North Village and Devonshire Colts, as well as a member of the Bermuda national youth football team in 1967.

In addition to his pastoral duties, Elder Ball is the president and owner of Golden State Professional Process Servers in North Carolina.

He and his wife Elizabeth are the parents of four children.
