The proposed facility, able to accommodate 230 people, will be erected on the corner of Watlington and Brighton Hill roads, just opposite the entrance to Lindo's Market in Devonshire.

"We want a building that can be used for worship as well as other activities such as luncheons and games for our younger members,'' said Pastor Cecil Pulley.

Covering a total area of approximately 40,000 square feet, the lot will also provide parking zones for 23 cars and cycles.

Grassy borders will separate the facility from the roads with mature trees planted to enhance the landscape.

Construction is scheduled to get underway as soon as the Planning Department approves the final drafts and will take close to three years to complete.

"We are looking optimistically to the future and praying that God will bless our efforts,'' Pastor Pulley said.
