Seven preachers in lectureship spotlight

Church of Christ, Brighton Hill, Devonshire, will host a Campaign/Lectureship from May 11 to 18 with seven American preachers including: Leroy Butler Jr. from Valdosta, Georgia, who serves as an advisor to The National Lectureship of Churches of Christ representing South Georgia. The 47-year-old father of two has more than 20 years of background as a Minister and counsellor.
Ralph P. Smith from Belleville, Illinois, has been preaching for 28 years.
During his 23 years as Minister of Centreville Church of Christ, Mr. Smith increased average attendance from 69 members per Sunday to an average of 500 members per Sunday. He has also increased his church membership to over 850 people.
Charlie McClendon has been preaching the gospel for over 30 years. The full-time Minister of the Northside Church of Christ, in Florida, increased the church's membership from 150 in 1973 to approximately 1,500. Mr. McClendon was also instrumental in initiating the television programme "Let The Bible Speak'' which airs in Jacksonville, Florida, each Sunday morning.
The week-long lectures will focus on the theme "Work and Worship of the Local Church''.
Sunday meetings will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. as well as 5 p.m. week-day lectures beginning at 7 p.m. and will feature a question and answer period.
