Under the direction of Sonesta Beach Hotel executive chef Mr. Roland Czekelius, the chefs will host the dinner as a community service, at no cost to the Salvation Army.

Formed in the summer of 1991, The Bermuda Chef's Association is a member of the American Culinary Federation, which has 270 chapters throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

Mr. Czekelius, in his second term as president, is preparing to register the 35-member association with the World Association of Chefs.

"Our mission as chefs in Bermuda is very simple and straightforward,'' Mr.

Czekelius said. "We would like to leave a positive and motivating impression on young Bermudians to join this profession.

"We are here to share our experiences and knowledge through organised educational seminars and monthly meetings, using these as tools to reach out to interested culinarians in any level of experience or position.''
