Shekinah Worship Centre recently said farewell to their Senior Elder, Kevon Makell. He and his wife Jackie have returned to their home in the US with their two Bermuda-born children at the end of a ten-year tenure at the Bermuda Electic Light Company. He was Belco’s expert on pure energy recovery, solar heating and windmill systems. He is now heavily engaged taking that technology to counntries in Africa and other parts of the world. The banquet was held at the Willowbank Hotel in Somerset on November 30. It was the final event before that Christian resort completely shut down after decades in business.Speakers at the banquet, paying tribute to Elder Makell, testified to what they hailed as a “divine connection” his meeting with Dr Seaman on a bench at Barrs Park on the waterfront in Hamilton soon after his arrival in Bermuda. It all blossomed into the ultimate acquisition by the Shekinah congregation of their own church home.
