Bright Temple AME hosts flea market

Today

Bright Temple AME Church, located at 28 Spring Hill in Warwick, will host a flea market from 9am until 3pm. Soup and bread rolls will be on offer for $8.

Women Aglow Int invites you to its monthly fellowship service and light breakfast giving thanks at Astwood Hall, Church Street, Hamilton. The meeting begins at 9.45am. Beverly Jones of BJ Ministries International will be the speaker. The theme is Expectation: For our expectation is from the Lord. (Psalm 62:5b). The cost is $12. Tomorrow

Cobbs Hill Methodist Church will celebrate its 188th anniversary with two services of praise, worship and thanks. The speaker for the 9.30am service is Clarence Dill of Cobbs Hill Church. The guest speaker for the 4pm service is Harold Lambe of Evening Light Pentecostal Church. Special music will be provided by gospel reggae artist Septimus.

Thursday, November 19

Tasha Cobbs: Grammy Award-winning gospel artist best known for Break Every Chain and For Your Glory, will perform at the Fairmont Southampton hotel. Tickets are on sale at 27th Century, Music Box and HOTT 107.5 and Magic 102.7 studios.

Friday, November 20

Salvation Army will host a sale and luncheon from 10am until 3pm at Clair Spencer Hall, 33 Duke of York Street, St George’s. The cost of the luncheon is $8.

Next Saturday, November 21

St Mary’s Church Christmas fair at the church hall on Middle Road in Warwick from 10am until 4pm. There will be baked goods, raffles, plant stalls, children’s games and a fun castle on offer. Other attractions include a books and handicrafts sale and refreshments, with entertainment starting at 11.30am.

Next Sunday, November 22

Grace Methodist Church at 167 North Shore, will host 100 Women in White. Guest speaker at the 3.30pm service is Kalmar Richards.

Wednesday, November 25

Church of God Glory Temple, Southside, St David’s, will host, It’s Revival Time in the East. Russell Tomilson will speak tonight and tomorrow night at 7.30pm.

Thursday, November 26

Chapel-of-Ease Guild will hold its annual Thanksgiving supper at St David’s Hall, Chapel-of-Ease Road from 5pm to 8pm. The cost for adults is $20; children are $10. Takeout is also available.

Bright Temple AME Church will host a Thanksgiving takeout from noon until 6pm. The cost is $20. For more information call 236-0364.

Saturday, December 5

Marsden First United Methodist Church presents Lift Him up with Joy, a gospel concert beginning at 7pm. Marsden’s Praise Team and Combined Choir, Toni Robinson and Paul Smith are among the performers. Emcees will be Nikita Robinson and Leroy Simmons. The First Church of God Music and Performing Arts Ministry presents Return of the Wiseguys, an evening of Christmas music, poetry, dance, sign language interpretation and drama. The event will take place in the Chapel of the Anointing at 6.30pm. A free-will offering will be taken.

Thursday, December 10

Grace Methodist Church will host a Christmas concert with various musical performances starting at 7.30pm. There will be no charge, however a free-will offering will be taken. The church is located at 28 Spring Hill in Warwick.
