Fantasy managers could well be looking at teams in the race for European qualification as their primary source of points in the final four weeks, so Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi and Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers are strong selections.

The April standings were tied as Robert Cowie (Martineliphant) and Wayne Edwards (Highwood Stars) each scored 387 points, but Cowie claimed the crown by virtue of a superior final gameweek, getting 95 points to Edwards’s 91. Jay Webster (Nil Desperandum XI) leads the season standings with 2,396 overall points.

Friday

Villa were destroyed in the FA Cup semi-finals by Crystal Palace last weekend and slipped six points off the top five with their latest league defeat at Manchester City. Marcus Rashford is out with a hamstring injury.

Fulham scored two late goals to beat Southampton and move within six points of this week’s opponent. Reiss Nelson remains out with a hamstring injury this match, while Rodrigo Muniz and Antonee Robinson are doubtful.

Prediction: 2-2

Everton v Ipswich Town (11am)

Everton were beaten 1-0 at Chelsea and have the most draws (14) in the division this campaign. The Toffees will be missing James Tarkowski, Jesper Lindstrom and Orel Mangala, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin is doubtful.

Ipswich were officially relegated at Newcastle last weekend and have Leif Davis and Ben Johnson suspended. Conor Townsend, Nathan Broadhead, Wes Burns, Sammie Szmodics, Kalvin Phillips, Jaden Philogene and Chiedozie Ogbene are inured, while Axel Tuanzebe is doubtful with a minor hamstring injury.

Prediction: 2-1

Leicester v Southampton (11am)

Leicester were thrashed at Wolves last weekend and have won just one of their last 20 league matches. Stephy Mavididi, Mads Hermansen and Abdul Fatawu will miss this match through injury, while Ricardo Pereira, Facundo Buonanotte and Bobby De Cordova-Reid are doubtful.

Southampton still need one more point to avoid tieing the worst league points tally in a single campaign with Derby County. Charlie Taylor, Albert Gronbaek and Paul Onuachu are doubtful this weekend.

Prediction: 1-2

Arsenal v Bournemouth (1.30pm)

Arsenal could not find their attacking groove in the home defeat to PSG in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Tuesday. Neto cannot face his parent club to league loan rules and Gabriel Magalhaes, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz are injured. Riccardo Calafiori and Jorginho are doubtful.

Bournemouth have won just one of their last nine league games and now sit ten points behind the last Champions League qualifying spot with four games remaining. Ryan Christie, Luis Sinisterra and Enes Unal are out injured.

Prediction: 1-0

Sunday

Brentford v Manchester United (10am)

Brentford will be without Josh Dasilva (knee) and Fabio Carvalho (shoulder), while Aaron Hickey and Igor Thiago are doubtful.

Manchester United are guaranteed to record their lowest Premier League points tally by at least five points, even if they win all of their remaining four matches. Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez, Ayden Heaven and Joshua Zirkzee will miss this match through injury, while Toby Collyer, Matthijs De Ligt and Amad Diallo are doubtful.

Prediction: 1-1

Brighton & Hove Albion v Newcastle United (10am)

Brighton scored two late goals to come from behind and beat West Ham for their first win in six matches. Joao Pedro is suspended and Adam Webster, Ferdi Kadioglu, James Milner and Georginio Rutter are injured. Igor Julio and Jan Paul van Hecke are doubtful.

Newcastle are up to third after the shutout home win over Ipswich. Joelinton, Lewis Hall and Jamaal Lascelles are out injured, while Matt Targett is doubtful to a minor hamstring injury.

Prediction: 1-2

West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur (10am)

West Ham are winless in seven games and only the bottom three have fewer points since Graham Potter took charge. Crysencio Summerville and Michail Antonio remain out with hamstring and leg injuries, while Edson Alvarez is doubtful.

Tottenham have the Europa League to focus on as defeat at the London Stadium would be their twentieth of this domestic campaign. Radu Dragusin remains out with a knee injury, while Heung-Min Son is doubtful.

Prediction: 1-1

Chelsea v Liverpool (12.30pm)

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson scored his first goal in 13 games as the West London side edged Everton last week. Mykhailo Mudryk remains suspended and Wesley Fofana, Aaron Anselmino, Omari Kellyman and Marc Guiu are injured. Robert Sanchez and Christopher Nkunku are doubtful.

Prediction: 2-1

Monday

Crystal Palace made their first FA Cup final since 2015-16 after dominating Aston Villa in the semi final last Saturday. Loanee Matt Turner cannot face his parent club to league rules, while Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure are out injured.

Forest failed to penetrate a strong Manchester City defence in the Cup semi-final loss on Sunday. Ola Aina is out with a calf injury this match.

Prediction: 1-2
