Mariners 14 Police 10Mariners added the Nicol Shield to their first domestic title after defeating Police 14-10 at North Field last Friday.A try from Dustin Achibald and two penalties, and a drop goal, by Tim Peplow helped Mariners to the win.Police had a try from Rudi Westhuizen which Mike Kane converted. Kane also scored a penalty in his team’s defeat.In the women’s Scully Cup, also played at North Field on Friday, Teachers beat Renegades 2-1.
