The minimum age to compete is seven years old with teams of three completing three laps of two kilometres. The first runner is required to do all three laps, the second competitor two laps and the final member of the team does just one.

Each person joins the person before them (except the first person) as they finish a lap. After lap one, the second person will join the team member that started and then after the second lap, the third person will join those two.
