Sean Trott got the better of old rival Dennis Mbelenzi for a resounding victory in the Lindo’s to Lindo’s race on Sunday.

The Bermuda Half-Marathon Derby completed the course between the two supermarkets in 33min 46sec, beating Mbelenzi (36:04) by more than two minutes, with Adam Prunty, making his return to the Bermuda road running scene, finishing third in 36:36

Stepanka Sprincova won the women’s race in 41:04, finishing twelfth overall, one place in front of runner-up Teresa Ruiz (41:50). Kristen Robinson (43:33) rounded out the podium finishers.

The four-mile competitive walk was won by Laura Wright (35:51), who beat Sanz Pearman and Junior Watts into second and third respectively.

In total more than 400 runners and walkers took part in the event, with all funds raised going to the Bermuda Diabetes Association.
