Estwanik takes honours

Chris Estwanik, the six-times Appleby Bermuda Half-Marathon Derby winner, won the Gosling’s to Fairmont Southampton race yesterday.
Estwanik was competing for the first time since entering the Guinness World Records after running the New York City Half-Marathon in a business suit last March. The 37-year-old, who has struggled with injuries during the past few years, finished in a time of 40min 06sec, with Tim Price placing second in 43:09 and Kris Hedges third in 44:42.
Martina Olcheski-Bell was the first women’s finisher, posting a time of 50:57 to place 24th overall. Maddie Durkin was second in 51:56 and Teresa Humphrey third in 53:08.
