Sailors finish fourth in NY

The Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club finished fourth at the Spring Mallory Fleet Racing qualifier at the Stony Brook School in Long Island, New York.

Both the club's A and B teams came 5th in their respective divisions in the competition, which was organised by the Mid-Atlantic Scholastic Sailing Association over the weekend.

The A team was made up of Tremayne Bean and Dimitri Stevens from The Berkeley Institute, while Hannah Horsfield from Somersfield Academy and Ellie Wollmann from Saltus Grammar School made up the B team. Both teams were coached by Jorge Chiapparro.

A total of 16 teams competed at the regatta theStony Brook School, Bellport, Harborfields, Horace Mann, Mamaroneck, Ross High School, Rye Country Day, Rye High School, Saint Anthony, Shelter Island School and St. John Baptist.

Rye Country Day were the overall winners.
