Wollmann shines in St Thomas

The 20th Scotiabank Optimist regatta in St Thomas, USVI regatta finished at the weekend after three fantastic days of racing.Bermuda sailors, Ceci Wollmann, Antonio Bailey, Makai Joell, Benn Smith and Chase Cooper made the cutoff for the Gold fleet.The Island was represented in Silver by Rory Caslin, Mikey Wollmann, Peter and Samantha Dill, Joe Arrowsmith, Izzy Dutranoit and Charis Todd.A record 96 sailors, from 16 nations, competed in the Advanced Red, Blue and White Fleets. The Advanced Fleets completed 11 races total in three days of competition.Following racing on Saturday the fleet was divided in two divisions.The top half comprised the Gold fleet and the bottom half the Silver fleet.Bermuda sailor Peter Dill shined in Silver, winning two of the three races in the Silver fleet on the final day.
