Bermuda SailGP tickets set to go on sale

Tickets for the 2026 Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix will go on sale in the next couple of weeks.

SailGP+ users will be able to purchase tickets from November 10 with tickets available to the general public from November 13.

The Bermuda event will take place on May 9 and 10 next year and will be the fifth stop of the 2026 Rolex SailGP Championship, which features 13 teams racing in identical 50-foot foiling catamarans travelling at over 100kph.

SailGP chief executive officer Sir Russell Coutts is delighted that the event is returning to Bermuda.

“Bermuda has cemented itself as a top global sailing destination,” Coutts said.

“It is an iconic location for a SailGP event that spotlights our fan-first approach with both spectators packing the race stadium in-person and millions of viewers tuning in from around the world at home.

“The 2026 Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix will showcase how SailGP is not just a race; it’s a spectacle at the water’s edge that’s redefining our sport.”

Bermuda Tourism Authority acting chief executive Officer, Erin Wright said: “The return of the Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix reinforces Bermuda’s position as a premier destination for world-class sporting events.

“Our continued partnership with SailGP underscores the island’s ability to deliver exceptional experiences for athletes, visitors, and international audiences alike. We look forward to once again showcasing Bermuda’s excellence in event hosting, infrastructure, and hospitality on the global stage.”

Ticket offerings for the 2026 Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix will include the following tiers:

● Waterfront Viewing Platform: Fans can enjoy dedicated viewing in the purpose-built Race Stadium at Morgan’s Point to catch every moment of action on the water, along with live commentary and big screens, live music and entertainment, and food and drinks available for purchase.

● Waterfront Premium Lounge presented by Bermuda Tourism Authority: the ultimate way to experience SailGP, fans can enjoy water’s edge views paired with inclusive gourmet food and premium drinks from inside the race stadium, along with live commentary and big screens, and live music and entertainment.

● Bring Your Own Boat (BYOB): Fans can watch the races from within the exclusion zone straight from their own boat with a souvenir SailGP flag, and comprehensive briefing and race commentary access via radio.

Bermuda last hosted a SailGP event in May 2024, which garnered an economic impact of $4.9 million, drawing more than 4,000 spectators and 13.5 million dedicated broadcast viewers.

At that event, Diego Botin drove Spain to victory ahead of season leaders New Zealand and Australia in the Great Sound.
