Reggie’s Rovers slip to defeat

Reggie Lambe couldn’t prevent Bristol Rovers from slipping to a 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth yesterday.Lambe, on loan from Championship side Ipswich Town, came on for Will Hoskins after 78 minutes to make his fifth Rovers appearance of the season.Player-coach Steve Fletcher’s winner strengthened Bournemouth’s grip on a League One play-off place against struggling Rovers.Wayne Brown slotted Rovers ahead, but they were soon down to 10 men after David McCracken elbowed Ben Smith.The Cherries’ Danny Hollands saw red for two bookable offences, but Mathieu Baudry later headed Bournemouth’s equaliser.Fletcher took advantage when Rovers keeper Conrad Logan lost possession to Danny Ings.The outlook for Bristol Rovers looks somewhat gloomy they remain in 22nd position but are now one point adrift of Walsall and have by far the worst goal difference in League One.Nakhi Wells was an unused substitute in Carlisle 1-0 defeat at Leyton Orient yesterday.
