There's more to come from Wells, says Parkinson

Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson has hailed Nahki Wells’ desire to listen learn and believes it’s one of the main reasons behind his goalscoring form. The 21-year-old has started City’s last five matches alongside top scorer James Hansen – scoring in three of them – after struggling to break into the Bantams first team in the first months of the season.Parkinson has been impressed by the effort and endeavour put in by the former Dandy Town player who has struck five goals since joining the League Two side in the summer. The Bantams boss feels there’s more to come from Wells given his ability to take advice on board and put it into practise.“What I like about Nahki is his ability to take things on board, listen and improve,” said Parkinson told Bradford City’s website.“He is always listening to what myself and Steve (Parkin) have to say and he tries to put it into practise.“Even at half time at Watford on Saturday he listened to what we had to say and improved his performance levels in the second half.“I really like him as a player and I can see some potential in him.The mental attitude Nahki has is something that we want from all of our players.“You can only coach players to a certain degree, you need to identify players that have that desire within themselves to want to improve.”Wells continued his scoring spree with his third goal in consecutive games in Bradford’s 4-2 defeat at Championship side Watford in the FA Cup third round last weekend. He had scored in City’s previous two matches against Crewe Alexander and Rotherham.Prior to joining Braford, Wells made three substitute appearances for Carlisle United in League One last season.
