Toronto lose out to Whitecaps in all-Canadian final

Reggie Lambe’s Toronto FC lost in the all-Canadian championship final of the Disney Pro Soccer Classic at the weekend.Camilo scored in the 10th minute after taking the ball around goalkeeper Quillan Roberts and firing a shot from a tight angle into the net.A Concacaf Champions League game against the LA Galaxy on Wednesday meant Toronto used mostly reserve team players.Eric Avila and Nick Soolsma were the only regular TFC players to participate, and the team was directed without head coach Aron Winter.Earlier, Brek Shea scored in the ninth minute on a penalty kick to give FC Dallas a 1-0 win over the Houston Dynamo in the third-place game.n Nahki Wells’ Bradford City slipped to a 1-0 defeat at fellow relegation strugglers Dagenham & Redbridge at the weekend.Wells, who scored in City’s previous match against Barnet, came on as a substitute on 74 minutes, replacing Ritchie Jones.Matthew Saunders curled home a 25-yard free kick as Dagenham climbed out of the League Two relegation places with a narrow win.Bradford went closest in the opening half with Lee Bullock seeing one header blocked on the line and another just clear the crossbar.But Saunders broke the deadlock after Josh Scott was fouled by Richie Jones.And the goal spurred on the home side on with Jon Nurse and Brian Woodall both testing keeper John McLaughlin.
