Wells has scan on problem hip

Bradford are sweating on the fitness of Nahki Wells after the striker was sent for a scan on a troublesome hip injury. The injury is a recurring problem for the Bermudian and kept him out of the draw with Accrington at the weekend.City manager Phil Parkinson said: “It seems to settle down for a period and then suddenly flare back up again.“On the whole, Nahki has been able to train pretty normally but it seems to catch when he goes to strike a ball - something which is obviously a huge part of his game.“I didn’t want to play him on Saturday (at Accrington) unless he was right in his mind to do so.“We’re now having it investigated thoroughly so we’ll see what comes up.”Wells has scored two goals in five appearances this season. He bagged 12 goals in his debut campaign with Bradford, including a hat-trick at Northampton Town.
