Village begin Friendship defence against Onions

Defending Friendship Trophy champions North Village will play Flanagan’s Onions in their opening game of the competition at Goose Gosling Field at 9pm next Wednesday.In the Friendship Trophy’s other preliminary tie Robin Hood take on PHC next Tuesday. Kick off is 9pm at Devonshire Rec.The quarter-finals will see Village/Onions meet Somerset Trojans at Bernard Park/Goose Gosling Field, Dandy Town face Wolves at St John’s Field, and St George’s meet Southampton Rangers at Western Oval on Sunday, December 16. All games kick off at 2.30pm.In the other quarter-final Devonshire Cougars entertain Robin Hood/PHC at Devonshire Rec. at 8pm on Tuesday, December 18.The First Division Shield preliminary matches see Ireland Rangers take on BAA next Tuesday at Devonshire Rec., and Young Men’s Social Club play Somerset Eagles next Wednesday at Goose Gosling Field. Both games kick off at 7pm.In the quarter-finals on Saturday, December 15, Paget play Devonshire Colts at 7pm, and BAA/Ireland Rangers take on St David’s at 9pm.Both games will be played at Goose Gosling Field.In the other Shield quarter-finals, on Sunday, December 16, YMSC/Somerset Eagles will meet X Roads at Bernard Park/Goose Gosling Field, and Hamilton Parish play Prospect at Western Oval. Both games kick off at 12pm.The FA Challenge Cup preliminary round will take place on the weekend over January 19-20.On Saturday, January 19, BAA host Devonshire Rec. at Goose Gosling Field at 9pm. The following day YMSC face Wolves at Bernard Park, Devonshire Colts welcome Somerset Trojans to Police Field, Boulevard take on PHC. All games kick off at 12pm.Also, Village meet Hood, Hornets entertain Onions at St John’s Field, and St George’s play Southampton Rangers at Wellington Oval. All games kick off at 2.30pm.
