Town and Force share the spoils

Dandy Town came from behind to earn a hard fought draw against Under-16 rivals Footy Force in a six-goal thriller during weekend Youth Futsal League action at Dellwood Middle School Gym.Trailing 2-1 at the break, Hornets shifted gears in the second half and outscored their rivals to earn a share of the spoils.Jerome Bailey (Force) and Oneko Lowe and Jahtino Martin (Town) were chosen as men of the match.Another high scoring and enthralling affair saw Force outscore North Village Rams 7-5 in an Under-14 contest.Rams started the match with only three players compared to Force’s five yet were able to remain competitive.After they had a full complement of players on the court, Rams managed to take a 3-2 lead into the dressing room at the half.But the tables were turned in the second half as Force outscored their opponents to come away with maximum points.Kani Stovell (Force) and Samuel McKittrick (Rams) were selected as men of the match.The remaining Under-14 contest saw Bermuda Brazilian Football School (BBFS) enjoy a convincing 3-0 win over Hamilton Parish Hot Peppers.D'nye-Jha Sharieff-Hayward (BBFS) and Chekai Zuill (Parish) were chosen as men of the match.Under-12 league action saw Hamilton Parish and Footy Force chalk up wins against ABC Valenica and Bermuda Brazilian Football School (BBFS) Yellow respectively.Parish beat Valencia 4-2 in a see-saw battle.Parish led 1-0 at the half but Valencia improved after the restart to make life difficult for their rivals.But despite scoring two goals in the second half, Valencia could not prevent their opponents from scoring at the opposite end of the court where Parish converted three times to secure maximum points.Chekai Zuill (Parish) Peter Silvester (Valencia) were chosen as men of the match.The remaining Under-12 match saw Force thrash BBFS Yellow 8-1.Force opened up a 5-1 lead before the break and never looked back.BBFS improved defensively in the second half but were unable to prevent Force from adding three more goals to their tally to extend the margin of victory.Diego Richardson (Force) and Khiari Shariff-Hayward (BBFS) were they men of the match.The sole Under-10 contest saw ABC Valencia beat Devonshire Cougars 3-0.Armand Fy (Valencia) and Ande Simons (Cougars) got men of the match honours.
