Cecoy Robinson is expected to be included in the PHC Zebras squad for their Premier Division contest away to North Village tomorrow, but it remains unclear whether he will wear the captain’s armband.

The experienced forward missed PHC’s game against Dandy Town Hornets last weekend. He waas absent amid speculation that he was serving a one-game suspension and was stripped of the captaincy “indefinitely” for an incident that marred the 9-0 defeat of Flanagan’s Onions on the opening day of the league season.

Robinson lost his cool after opening the scoring at Goose Gosling Field and got involved in a dispute with Scott Morton, the Zebras coach, who then substituted him for striker Dunte Albuoy.

When approached, Morton confirmed that Robinson is in his plans for tomorrow’s clash with Village at Bernard Park, but would not say whether he will continue as captain.

“Cecoy will be back in the line-up this week,” Morton said.

But when asked if Robinson is still the captain, Morton said: “We will see.”

He added: “Everything is back to normal. If he has [the captaincy] he has it and if he doesn’t then the team still operates and he is still an important player.

“Cecoy is always a leader in the team, so he will just continue to be the leader that he is. That’s all we expect of him and a band on your arm doesn’t separate that.

“It was just a storm in a teacup. All is good in the PHC camp; everyone is back on the same page and we are moving on.”

PHC are level on points with three other teams, including champions Robin Hood, Devonshire Cougars and Village, but are first on goal difference.

Premier Division action resumes today with Somerset Trojans hosting Dandy Town at Somerset Cricket Club in the Premier Division’s first Saturday afternoon game, while St David’s travel to Malabar to face Ireland Rangers in the First Division. Both matches kick off at 3pm.

In tomorrow’s other top-flight games, Cougars play host to Hood at Devonshire Recreation Club.

The teams sit tied for second place, having both scored seven and conceded none from their first two wins of the season.

X-Roads play host to Boulevard Blazers at Garrison Field while Young Men’s Social Club take on Flanagan’s Onions at Police Field, with both clubs still waiting for their first win of the season.

In the First Division tomorrow, leaders BAA visit Police Field to take on Devonshire Colts, while second-placed St George’s face Paget Lions at Southampton Oval.

Wolves play Southampton Rangers at Devonshire Rec and Hamilton Parish meet Somerset Eagles at Wellington Oval.Tomorrow’s second-tier games kick off at 12.30pm.
