The FA Cup Final was called off a second time yesterday, this time for “logistical reasons”, according to the Bermuda Football Association who made the announcement yesterday morning moments after a heavy downpour.

The match between Robin Hood and Southampton Rangers was halted after 15 minutes on Sunday over safety concerns following a heavy downpour and lightning. The match was rescheduled for last evening but has been called off again with no new date yet confirmed by the BFA. The match is likely to be held either Saturday or Sunday, which was the original rain date.

• A change has been made to the Bermuda Under-17 women’s squad, who depart for Nicaragua on Saturday for the Concacaf Championship, with Sh’Nyah Akinstall coming in to replace Jaden Masters, who has picked up a long-term injury.

The Bermuda team will spend five days in Fort Lauderdale in a training camp when the overseas players will join them prior to arriving in Nicaragua where they will open their Qorld Cup qualifying campaign against Canada on April 20 at the National Football Stadium. Bermuda are in Group B with Canada, United States and Costa Rica who they will play on April 22 and 24th.

The top two teams from each group will move on to the semi-finals, after which the Concacaf champion, second and third placed teams will qualify to the Fifa U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay, starting in November.
