Wolves came out on top in a six-goal thriller against Boulevard to secure their first win of the season at Bernard Park on Sunday.

Wolves made a dream start to the First Division contest when Lashun Dill gave them the lead in the seventh minute, but their advantage was short-lived as Blazers hit back with two goals inside of five minutes from Moses Steede and Dunn-Ya Taylor to cling to a 2-1 lead at the break.

Kyle Brangman equalised for Wolves ten minutes after the restart before substitute Jared Peniston struck twice in the 71st and 79th minute to put the match beyond Blazers’ reach.

Also recording victories on Sunday were Devonshire Colts and St David’s who both remain unbeaten this term.

Colts had things all their own way in a 4-0 thrashing of bottom side Ireland Rangers at Police Field. Chermal Henry led the charge with a brace while Keino Burch and Malahku Selassie were also on target for a rampant Colts team, with Ireland Rangers yet to earn a point or score a goal in two league outings.

In contrast, St David’s encountered more resistance in a 3-2 win at home to Vasco.

Dimitri Butterfield, Aaron Paynter and Vance Wall Brown all converted for St David’s, while Vasco replied through goals from player-coach Leo Burgess and Kevin Arouda.

Also maintaining their unblemished record was second-place Robin Hood, who came from behind to beat Southampton Rangers 3-1 at Goose Gosling Field on Saturday night.

Donte Brangman broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute to put Rangers in front before Macai Simmons brought the teams level eight minutes later.

Hood then surged ahead through Clay Darrell’s 37th minute strike while Jahron Dickinson added another five minutes later to put the match beyond Rangers reach.

Rangers have also yet to take a point from their first two league matches and are ahead of bottom team Ireland Rangers on goal difference.

Somerset Eagles, who are also without a win, had a bye.
