Bermuda’s Jay Donawa clocked an impressive time of two hours 43 minutes and 16 seconds in yesterday’s Virgin London Marathon.The Southampton runner, who has represented the Island internationally and competed in the World Cross Country Championships in 2003, went through the halfway mark in a remarkably swift 1.16.08 before slowing slightly in the second half of the 26.2-mile race.The men’s race was won by Kenya’s Wilson Kipsang in 2.04.44. Donawa was 281st overall. There were around 36,000 runners in the race.
