Registration opens for Tokio Triathlon
Registration has opened for the Tokio Millennium Re Sprint Triathlon which will be held on June 9 at Albuoy’s Point.
The event will be held in Hamilton for the third time, with the swim taking place in the cooler waters of the harbour (750 metres) followed by a bike (20K) and run (5K) along Front Street.
Individuals and teams can take part in the event.
The day will also feature a duathlon for juniors.
Triathlon newcomers are encouraged to participate in the Try-a-Tri which consists a 200m swim, an 8K bike and a 2K run.
Companies with an array of athletic talent, can enter teams in either the Corporate Division or the (Re) Insurance Division, who will compete over the same distance as the senior triathletes.
Past winners include Butterfield and Vallis and Tokio Millennium Re.
Seven to 10-years-old can compete in a duathlon comprised of a 1K run, a 4K bike and another 1K run, while juniors 11 to 14-years-old can race over a longer distance — 2K run, 8K bike and 2K run.

Registration closes on June 6 at 5pm, with late registration on race packet pick-up day which is June 7.
