Duffy returns to training
Flora Duffy has returned to indoor running and cycling after having a cast removed from her left hand following an injury in training last week.
The two-times world champion snapped her fifth metacarpal, a connecting bone between the wrist and finger, while swimming in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
“My cast is off! Now I am allowed to get back to some training (running & indoor riding). Still have to wait another week to swim,” Duffy wrote on Facebook.
Duffy, 32, is waiting to get her season under way after the postponement of ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi in an effort to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the United Arab Emirates.
The WTS season opener was scheduled to take place last weekend on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, where there have been cases of Covid-19.
