Each rider will chase general classification over four the races.

Among the women's triathletes involved are Britain's Jess Learmonth, Georgia Taylor-Brown, Lucy Charles-Barclay and Sophie Coldwell.

Kristian Blummenfelt and Gustav Iden, of Norway, Braden Currie, of New Zealand, Terenzo Bozzone, of South Africa, Lionel Sanders, of Canada, and Alistair Brownlee, of Britain, will compete in the men's race.

The series begins in Watopia, a virtual island of Zwift, the global online training platform, with a 29.8-kilometre race and 234 metres elevation.

“I'm excited to see how the athletes take to the four-week race series and which pro is best over such diverse terrain,” Eric Min, the Zwift chief executive and co-founder, said.
