Bermuda has named a nine-strong team for the Carifta Swimming Championships, which will be held in Curaçao from April 6 to 9.

Every member of the team, which is made up of Adriana Argent, Elanna Fulton, Bella Howes, Marleigh Howes, Imojen Judd, Myeisha Sharrieff, Brandon Adkins, Thomas Cechini and Connor Hupman, had to meet the qualifying time of two AAA standards in the age group they will compete in over the next 12 months.

As well as the individual events, a Bermuda team will compete in the girl’s 15-17 relay event.

The entire team, which will be accompanied by head national coach Ben Smith and team manager Shirene Fulton, will fly out to the South American island on April 4 before returning two days after the championships.

Bermuda’s 12 member team secured 19 medals, including four gold, and placed sixth among the 18 competing nations, at last year’s Championships in Barbados.
