Swimmers make the most of Short Course Championships
Whether it was the streamline of the backstroke, the explosion of butterfly, the sheer power of freestyle, the elegance of breaststroke or the musical symphony of the four in the individual medley, all had to be mastered this past weekend in order to be a winner at the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association Short Course Championships.
Four different age categories saw male and female champions crowned during the three-day meet, which included preliminaries and finals swum over five sessions. Adding to the excitement for the local swimmers was the visiting Milton Marlin Swim Team from Montreal, who were allowed to participate during Sunday’s session as part of their weeklong Bermuda training camp.
