The signature event of Bermuda Tech Week kicks off on Wednesday with a keynote “fireside chat” between David Burt, the Premier and Minister of Finance, and Michael Casey, chief content officer of information platform CoinDesk.

The agenda for the fourth annual Bermuda Tech Summit said Mr Burt would “provide insights into how Bermuda’s proven track record of weathering storms and unique risk management expertise offers a safe haven to institutional grade players investing in the long-term viability of the digital asset market”.

The three-day conference at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club is presented by the Bermuda Business Development Agency in partnership with the Government’s Economic Development Department and fintech industry association, NEXT Bermuda.

The in-person event will feature 16 panel discussions presenting a line-up of international and Bermudian-based speakers.

David Hart, CEO of the BDA, said: “The team and our partners have worked hard to bring some of the world’s leading tech luminaries, both from overseas and Bermuda, to our event, to discuss cutting-edge tech innovations.

“Whether you are already working in technology or financial services, are a tech enthusiast from the general public, or one of the Bermuda College students who received a complimentary ticket to attend, we will have content that is of interest to you.”
