Penrose Partners scoops up Digital Banker awards
Digital asset consultancy Penrose Partners has been internationally recognised for its role in delivering the world’s first fully compliant stablecoin airdrop in Bermuda.
Publication and research firm The Digital Banker recognised Penrose for having the most innovative digital asset partnership and making the most outstanding contribution to digital asset market structure.
For citizens and small businesses to benefit from digital finance, Penrose Partners designed a first-of-its-kind airdrop of digital dollars to more than 400 people using Coinbase wallets to spend with eight local vendors.
This happened last May in Bermuda at the Digital Finance Forum, in partnership with Coinbase, Circle, the Bermuda Government and event cohost Salt.
The event offered educational, hands-on experience with digital currency at a local level.
“We identified that digital finance adoption in Bermuda had to extend beyond institutional use,” Penrose said.
The firm’s managing partner Kerem Kolcuoglu said: “Both awards celebrate what is possible when innovation, regulation and inclusion align. We are proud to help shape the future of digital finance through education and adoption programmes that can be adapted and scaled to other jurisdictions.”
The Digital Banker assesses organisations on innovation, client experience, financial and market performance and corporate strategy.
The judging panel highlighted the project’s significance in expanding access to digital payment systems for Bermuda residents while establishing a replicable framework for compliant, inclusive digital asset ecosystems.
The initiative brought together regulators, government and industry leaders, setting a benchmark for public-private collaboration and market structure in the sector.
