Jonathan Crellin named Hotelier of the Year
Fairmont Hamilton general manager Jonathan Crellin has been presented with Bermuda Hotel Association's award for Hotelier of the Year for 2009.
Tourism Minister Patrice Minors gave Mr Crellin his prize at BHA's annual luncheon ceremony last week.
The Association's CEO John Harvey said in a statement: “Jon Crellin is a professional and dedicated hotelier who is committed to the success of his hotel and Bermuda tourism in general.
“He has a wealth of experience in the hotel business having worked for Omni and Hyatt hotels in Boston and was the general manager at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston. He is passionate about our business and is very deserving of being awarded Hotelier of the Year 2009.”
The BHA also announced the winners of its Community Award for 2010: Royal Bermuda Yacht Club and the Cruising Club of America.
It says both organisations have contributed to Bermuda's economy for more than 100 years and have organised the bi-annual Bermuda Race which has brought the Island millions of dollars in tourism revenue.
