Model open casting call for Tourism campaign

The Department of Tourism is looking for Bermudian models to be the face of a new branding campaign.Marketing company Fuseideas will hold an open casting call tomorrow, where models will be chosen based on their ability to attract visitors representing “the wealthiest segment in the US”.Special skills are required for some of the modelling positions. The agency is seeking a 20- to 30-year-old female with scuba diving skills and a 20- to 35-year-old female with cliff-jumping experience.A male between 20 and 30 years old with “excellent physique and diving skills” is also on the list of required models.Tourism Minister Wayne Furbert announced the new campaign, urging Bermudians to come to the casting call.“I believe that we have some of the most beautiful people in the world, and so we’re not hiring anyone outside of Bermuda for this modelling,” Mr Furbert said. “I want it to be like ‘American Idol’. I want everyone down there gathering at Victoria Park and getting involved.”Tomorrow’s call will take place from 11am to 3pm in Victoria Park.
